1. Why should I sponsor a child through Mission One Million?
There are many worthy sponsorship organizations, but we feel we are different in the following ways:

*When you sponsor a child for $30 a month it gives that child the opportunity to become a world-changer for the cause of helping humanity. Our children are encouraged and trained to venture into God's mighty plan for their lives and thus, as they mature, they are touching those around them with the impacting power and love of Jesus Christ.

*We take the children from their desperate situations and place them in an M1M Life Center where a pastor and the surrounding Christian community help to raise the children, so the child’s entire life is impacted by the love of Christ twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

*Over 80% of our children voluntarily devote themselves to a career in ministry. Whether it is becoming a teacher, nurse, pastor, missionary, or orphan caregiver they are fully committed to giving their lives for the Kingdom of God.

2. How can Mission One Million do so much for only $30 a month?

It is truly amazing, by God’s grace, how we can meet so many of the child’s needs for so little. Here are a few of the ways we are able to do this:

*Our field projects are staffed by local, indigenous pastors and citizens.

*We are supported by an extensive network of volunteers and missionaries who raise their
own support.

*We have others that have committed to supporting us administratively so more of your support goes directly to the needs of the child.

*Our commitment to you is to meet as much of the child’s needs as possible and therefore, 80 percent, if not more of your $30 a month goes directly to help the child.

3. As a sponsor, what will I receive throughout the year?

You will receive a monthly e-mail updating you on the current events of Mission One Million and its progress. You will have access to our Sponsorship Services Number, which is 1-866-HELP-M1M (435-7616), and our website for any of your questions. In addition, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are changing eternity for a child in need and raising them as a follower of Christ.

4. Will I be able to visit, write or send my child a package?

Yes! You are welcome to visit your child and see for yourself how your contributions are making an impact in your child’s life. If you decide to visit your sponsored child, we must know at least four months in advance, and once your visit is approved, we will facilitate the arrangements, including a staff member to act as your guide and interpreter. Unfortunately, due to the high costs of administration, import duties and restrictions by foreign governments we must establish a firm policy not to accept any letters or packages for your child. In addition, we have also found that offering this service to sponsors takes away from providing the child with the greatest amount of financial support possible.

5. How do I make my contributions and are they tax-deductible?

You can choose to give $30 a month or provide an entire year of support for $360.

Online Giving: Donate using your credit/debit card. You can set up automatic monthly donations online, making it convenient for you to ensure your support gets to your child every month.

Check or Money Order: When you give by check or money order, you will receive a giving statement including a reply form and an envelope for you to send your next gift. Please make checks and money orders payable to Mission One Million and make sure to include your full name, address, and zip code. Please do not send cash.

Remember, all gifts to Mission One Million are tax-deductible for U.S. federal income taxes. Be sure to keep your giving statements and use them as your receipts for income tax purposes
