We seem to be in a constant state of reducing the power of God and promoting the illusion of human strength. Our culture today which American Christianity in many ways has embraced says things like, “Unleash the power within”, “you deserve to be fulfilled in whatever direction you take your life” (Anthony Robins), “your basically are a good person that maybe misguided by our culture”, “life is all about you and your happiness”, “do what feels good as long as it doesn’t hurt others”, “To do something, however small, to make others happier and better, is the highest ambition, the most elevating hope”. Though these statements sound appealing they are completely wrong and are poison to our lives to the degree in which we embrace them. Today my desire is to share to the extent that time will allow the biblical concept of man and the power the cross of Christ has had on our lives as believer in Christ. My hope is to help us in creating an attitude of gratitude and renewed motivation to know, love and glorify God.
